How this ranking is built
Every app on this site is ordered by measured attention: how many times its listing has been viewed on There's An AI For That, the largest directory of AI tools. Placement cannot be bought, and no advertiser has ever been moved up or down this list.
Where the numbers come from
View counts, ratings and rating distributions come from There's An AI For That (TAAFT). We record them on each refresh and publish them as received. Search demand comes from Semrush's US keyword database. Neither is our own analytics, and neither measures visits to the apps themselves: no public source measures that reliably for this category.
What each number means
- Views - all-time views of the app's listing on TAAFT. The ranking is ordered by this.
- Views/mo - how many views that listing gained per month between our last two snapshots (20 July and 8 October 2026). This is the momentum figure: a young app gaining fast can out-pace an older one with a bigger all-time total.
- US searches/mo - Semrush's estimate of monthly Google searches in the US for the app's name.
- Rating and ratings count - the average star rating and the number of people who left one. This is separate from saves.
- Saves - how many people bookmarked the tool. It is a popularity signal, not a review count, and we label it separately for that reason.
- Alternatives - computed by us: same price tier, nearest all-time views. Not supplied by anyone and not sponsored.
What we do not do
We do not test these apps hands-on. Every page is analysis of measured data, not a first-hand review, and it is written that way deliberately rather than implying experience we do not have. We also do not verify each provider's privacy policy or billing terms - check those on the provider's own site before you sign up.
How we make money
Some buttons on this site are affiliate links, and we earn a commission if you sign up through them. The "Start chatting" buttons lead to a partner site, not to the app the page is about; we have no partnership with any of the 98 ranked apps. Commission does not affect ranking order, because the order is generated from the view data above.
